Please join us and help us “love” the park. We’ll be doing some spring cleaning, planting some flowers, and adding a fresh layer of mulch. we’ll assemble at the Butterfly Garden. Water and snacks provided. We have tools and gloves or if you have a favorite gardening tool you are welcome to bring it.

Thanks to LDS for “Lovin the Park”

DCP wishes to acknowledge and thank The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints for their volunteer efforts on Saturday, March 23, “The Great Day of Service”. This is the fifth year that the Durham LDS members have worked to improve the park. This year they cleared the heavy build up of vegetation under the bridge, and spruced up the SEEDS garden. Last year the LDS team constructed the steps that lead from the upper trail to the pavilion

Special Table Dedication

nullOn Saturday, March 2nd, DCP recognized our long standing partner, Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Youth Ministry. The ICC-YM has for the past ten years participated in over 40 workdays bring a large contingent of young people to each one. This awesome group has helped make the park a special place and to recognize this contribution DCP dedicated a picnic table in their honor. The table is located near the Grace Garden

The brick walkway next to the grace Garden was created by Eagle Scout candidate, Daniel Tompkins. Daniel built the walkway along with a dozen or so volunteers from Troop 451 based at Westminster Presbyterian Church.
